Why learn guitar other then to become a rock star?

Everyone wants to be a rock star. Let’s be honest, it sounds awesome!  But there are so many benefits to learning guitar, other then become a professional in the music industry.

Want to be a rock star parent? I know for sure that practicing guitar will limit your child’s screen time to almost zero. Be the envy at the play ground when you report that good news!

Playing music is fun! It’s just fun to play your favourite songs. It’s even more fun when you play with your friends or other people who are learning as well. That being said, music and guitar is great socially, as you meet new friends who play and enjoy listening to you as well.

Music is also great as a healing tool. Feeling down? Music can lift your spirits and help you through tough times in a healthy way.

Learning guitar and music is also a great way for young people to exercise other areas of their brain and learning development. It has always been said that students who study music notice improved grades in math and science.

In the end,  I always say a rock star is someone who makes a living with music or enjoys, and shares there talents with others as often as possible.

It’s always my hope that all music students enjoy, share music with others and unleash your inner rock star.
